Yes, as long as he had a decent job and was motivated to move upward. We need men who have skills and plumbers, electricians and other men with these kinds of jobs do make decent money. Also, some men own businesses. There are many reasons for not having a college degree; it does not mean that the person is lazy, not motivated or not intelligent. Some people are not college material, they do better in skilled positions. As for a college degree making a person more well rounded, perhaps, but I have dated many men with college degrees who are dumber than dirt with absolutely no social or people skills. I realize that it takes work and dedication to earn that degree but it is very individual. Some people party through college and still get that degree. Ivy league is another story, obviously, since this involves real work to get through, As for women w/o a degree. I was married young, had to drop out of college to get my husband through, he could make far more money than I with his degree and it worked well until we divorced. I have always worked and had a job even while raising my children. I have done all manner of office work and will always have a job. I have two years of college but have self educated myself, traveled, read and availed myself of any opportunity to learn more. I have never been lazy and I belive that I am as interesting and maybe more educated than many with college degrees. I can hold my own in any situation. At this stage in life, after 38 years of marriage, going back to school is really not an option since I now have to earn my keep. Please do not generalize since every case is different.
