This notion is patently false. Associates degrees do NOT mean lazy/unmotivated/poor, though a good handful of people seem to think so. (I did for a while too.) Some people learn early on in their lives that college is, for most things, a waste of money and find other ways to make a living. Others are already successful without higher ed and only get it just for completeness. There are plenty of losers with lots of “education” too, but they have a diploma so they don’t count.

Limiting one’s options based on their educational credentials is very shallow and a good way to lose out on a lot of great things.

Well-loved. Like or Dislike: Thumb up 26 Thumb down 1

I dated and then married someone without a college degree. She eventually got one. I’ve got multiple graduate degrees. They (and the college degree) are just over-rated pieces of paper. True intelligence, discipline and perseverence (all of which she has) matter way more. Getting the piece of paper removed an obstacle on her resume. that’s bout it.
